How We Treat

Treatment Tools & Techniques

Strengthening

Strengthening is at the heart of what we do in physical therapy. Our PTs will identify areas of weakness that could be the cause of, or a result of your injury. From there, they will develop a personalized plan to target the weak or injured muscle to help it grow stronger and more resilient. We are firm believers that your body will respond to the demands that you place on it. If we can find the weak or injured muscle and load it appropriately, we can heal and strengthen the compromised tissue. In doing so, we will help to restore symmetry to your system and reduce extra strain on joints and soft tissue.

Functional Movement Assessment

The Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) is a tool used to assess global movement dysfunctions as they directly relate to movement compensation, inefficiency, overload, breakdown, and pain. It is a great system to help determine the true causes of tissue overload as it relates to the entire body. Don’t be limited by your rehab professional and make sure you get a full body approach.

Dynamic Movement Training

Dynamic Movement Training at Limitless PT is designed for active adults who want more than just basic rehab — they want to move, perform, and feel better than before their injury. Our therapists incorporate real-life, functional, and sport-specific movement patterns at variable speeds to rebuild strength, coordination, and confidence where it matters most: in the way you actually live and play. From multi-directional agility drills to controlled power movements, we train your body to react, stabilize, and perform in environments that match your goals. This advanced, progressive approach ensures the most complete recovery possible, helping you not only return to your prior level, but exceed it with confidence.

Hands On Care

Our PTs are highly trained at assessing the health and mobility of your joints, muscles, tendons, and nerves. We use techniques such as vibration and percussion therapy, counterstrain, cupping, massage, joint mobilizations, joint manipulations (adjustments), myofascial release, and more. These help us to improve mobility, stiffness/joint position, and blood flow to restore balance to your body and promote healing.

Individual Exercise Prescription

At Limitless Physical Therapy, we know that each individual and each injury is unique. Therefore, your rehabilitation and exercise program must be skillfully tailored to you. Whether your care here is to restore your day-to-day function or to help you return to your sport stronger and more prepared than ever – our experts craft your care plan to meet your goals. So let us know your goals each step of your care and be prepared to collaborate with your physical therapist to meet those goals. The focus is you.

Cupping

Cupping is originally a Chinese practice that has been adapted to modern western applications. Our PTs use mechanical suction with plastic or silicone cups to help improve blood flow and free up connective tissue that has scarring or other adhesions. This technique can be used on many different conditions such as rotator cuff issues, plantar fasciitis, back and neck pain, and more.

Scraping/IASTM

IASTM is a technique utilized to more aggressively and systematically break up heavy scar tissue that can cause tendinosis, sprains, strains, and can inhibit proper tissue healing. IASTM is used with stretching and strengthening to aid in the proper reformation of collagen fibers in order to strengthen and heal the tissue. When healing is limited help it along with IASTM and Limitless Physical Therapy.

Taping/Kinesio Taping

Kinesiology Taping is the use of a stretchy taping that provides proprioceptive training, posturing, or neuromuscular reeducation for the purpose of improving body mechanics. The theory is that if you improve movement patterns and reinforce them with the assistance of taping, you not only reduce pain, but improve efficiency of movement. Also, by applying sensory input to the skin you can reduce pain input and improve confidence. Kinesiology taping has also been shown to improve circulation.
