General Questions

Will my treatment be covered by insurance?

Physical Therapy is a benefit covered under most health insurance plans and Limitless Physical Therapy is contracted with certain insurance companies. Please contact us if you have any questions about insurance coverage and your insurance benefits. We are also able to bill your auto insurance or worker’s compensation claim.

Do I need a physician referral before receiving treatment?

Oregon allows Direct access which means you do not need a physician referral to come to Limitless Physical Therapy and start feeling better today. The exception is that there are a few insurance companies, namely Medicare, who do require a referral for insurance reimbursement. Don’t let that stop you from calling our friendly receptionists to get more information.

What should I wear to my treatment sessions?

Comfortable athletic type clothing that allows for easy access to your injury site and allows you to easily move about is going to be your best bet. Tank tops or loose-fitting t-shirts are best for upper body injuries and shorts are best for lower-body injuries.

What should I bring to my first physical therapy visit?

You will want to bring an ID, your insurance card (if we are billing your Insurance), comfortable clothes (see above), required intake forms downloaded above, any pertinent medical records you want us to review, and your physician’s referral (if you have one). Of course, bring your questions, goals, and readiness to discover your future without limits.

What should I expect during my first physical therapy visit?

A typical first visit will include an evaluation to determine the source and cause of your injury/pain. We will develop a plan to get you healthy, begin treatment that will likely include a combination of manual therapy, exercise, education, and modalities.

How often will I need to come to physical therapy?

The frequency and duration of physical therapy will greatly depend on your goal and your condition. This could be just a few visits or for more complex conditions as many as 12 visits or more. At your first visit, you and your physical therapist will determine a plan based on your condition and goals.

How long should I allow for my appointments?

For the first treatment, we recommend you allow about an hour and a half to complete paperwork and orientation. For follow-up appointments, you should allow 45 to 60 minutes.
